According to Hahn and Hartmann's directions, the name is to understand as 'last river', at Nama ǀ Uni- andǃ A-B = River, cf. Kr. 1969 NW 369 and 24. Uniabmund is the northern point where the river in the ocean is out of water. On the Surveyor General's map 1972, the river name is spelled 'Unjab'.
