Die bron en uitspanning uit die ou dae le aan die wapad van Grootfontein af na Abenab toe, dus veel nader aan die hoofdorp as GOBIS 1918 AB. Dit het egter met weinig twyfel dieselfde verklaring as hierdie Gobis, nl. van 'Kalkfontein'. Die reisigers was geheel en al afhanklik van die water- bronne wat dus t.o.v. hulle nuttigheid en smaak kensketsende name dra. Vir die taalkundige bespreking kyk onder GOBIS 1918 AB. Ook hierdie inlandse naam het in onbruik geraak.
