EKV. -s Show that this may be the name of a fountain. According to our spokesman: 'The fountain (-s) where the people (-gu) put them again (ǀǀ Gau)'. The Swartbooistam was known as the ǀǀ Gau in Che source name. But whether there has been a historical connection, O> ns no longer knows

Op die beskikbare kaarte van na dr Hartmann kom ons die naam nie meer tee nie. Die fontein le westelik van Grootfontein af, dit is ’n 'teichartiges Wasserloch' (Hartmann). Die vr. ekv. -s wys aan dat dit die naam van 'n fontein kan wees. Volgens ons segsman: 'Die fontein ( -s) waar die mense ( -gu) hulle te weer stel (ǀǀgau)'.
