ǃGûǁganab
In the square 1918 aa, other names occur with ingredient -ganab. Dr. Hartmann has ǀǀ Hu- ǀǀ Ganas andǃ About the member ǀǀ Gana- Is there no doubt, this is the name in Nama for the camel thorn tree. Also over theǃ Gu- (noticeǃ GU) should not exist great doubt. It is the naman for the red hook or hybrid cabin thorn tree, the Acacia Reficiens, also called 'Schwarzdorn Im Norden', all according to WISS HJ 1973-4 Botanische Mitt 8. We assume that the memberǃ Gu-S = hybrid (as such not in the ordinary dictionaries before). The nonsman of the tribes that are known as hybrids are called Gu-Nun, and the casual question is here or the member GU - not asǃ Gu- is and whether hybrids are not just a translation from Khoekhens. Another question is this: Why don't we get no Guganab more after 1910 and a giganab? As we have a Giganab-West and -Oc, here is also a Guganab-West andost. Giganab lies just east of the line that separates AA and AB, and Guganab is just west of it. Is giganab at the division into new farms but the old Guganab? Then giganab does not mean the 'once thorn thorn tree', but only 'hybrid combines thorn tree', and keep it, indeed slightly, the old traditional name. The question is still unresolved, yet it is a fascinating question. See more giganab in this part.
