On the back of his card, Dr. Hartmann declared some terms, below the following: 'Tsauraheib: Mopane (Hollandisch)'. The 'Hollandian' is obviously wrong, in fact, the word mopanie from the natives of the Bantu, and Hartmann's botanical identification Copaifera Mopane is also outdated, but for us is important that we have the Khoekhoen name. The cup's name is then 'mopanie (head)', the -hei-b [hai-b] - tree, the tsaura- is therefore the name for 'mopani'.

Agterop sy kaart verklaar dr Hartmann enkele terme, daaronder die volgende: 'Tsauraheib: Mopane (Hollandisch)'. Die 'Hollandisch' is natuurlik verkeerd, in feite kom die woord mopanie uit die inboorlingtale van die Bantoe, en Hartmann se botaniese identifikasie Copaifera mopane is ook al verouderd, maar vir ons van belang is dat ons die Khoekhoense naam het.
