Label Information
Scully completed a BA Fine Art at Wits before becoming a full time teacher and painter. He admired Preller, Battiss and Skotnes. His work shows a more muted and romantic sensibility than their linear quality. Here Scully juxtaposes horizontal areas of colour with ovoid shapes creating an allusive, spiritual atmosphere that characterized his work of the 1970s.
