‘When it came to the fight for freedom from racial oppression, we all banded together – and gender problems, race problems were all part of that struggle. But post 1994, we kind of had this idea that this fight for freedom has been won. And we’ve let go of the fact that there are many freedoms that have yet to be fought for. And I think that is what these picture remind of – particularly the role of women, and the role women should play in forging a new space.’ – Siona O’Connell
